TITLE: Line Cook                                           FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt


REPORTS TO: Executive Chef                     DEPARTMENT: Kitchen



JOB SUMMARY: Prepares food in accordance with club recipes and standards and ensure the highest food quality




  1. Prepares all required items
  2. Sets up service units with needed items
  3. Serves items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
  4. Notifies Sous Chef of expected shortages
  5. Ensures that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary
  6. Assists the Sous Chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen
  7. Maintains neat professional appearance and observe personal cleanliness rules at all times
  8. Sets up, maintains and breaks down pantry cook station
  9. Requisitions items needed to produce menu items
  10. Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations
  11. Covers, dates and neatly stores all leftover products that are re-usable
  12. Maintains the highest sanitary standards
  13. Assists with other duties as assigned by Sous Chef/ Chef de Cuisine
  14. Preparation of salads, sandwiches, fillings, dressings and other garde manager items
  15. Ensure ala carte orders are prepared in a timely manner
  16. Performs additional duties as directed by a supervisor or manager


  1. 3 - 5 years of previous line experience preferred.
  2. Culinary degree or related experience is preferred.
  3. Candidate should be able to perform all basic cooking skills.
  4. Able to work single station in the kitchen.
  5. A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
  6. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating professionally and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organization.
  7. Organizational skills for efficient office control are mandatory
  1. Excellent verbal communication skills
  2. Must be available for emergency and scheduled work requirements on evenings, weekends or holidays
  3. Must be available to work flexible shifts and overtime if necessary.
  4. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  5. Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  1. Requires long periods of time standing, frequent bending, crouching, kneeling and reaching
