JOB SUMMARY: Greets and seats members and guests in the dining room. Maintain order and cleanliness. Assure that member satisfaction standards are consistently attained.




  1. Receives and greets members and guests.
  2. Suggests and describes available appetizers, entrees, desserts, alcoholic beverages and wines to members and guests.
  3. Coordinates food service between kitchen and service staff.
  4. Inspects all linens daily for proper appearance.
  5. Maintains all silver service ware items.
  6. Resolves member and guest complaints.
  7. Assures that all safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures are in place and consistently followed.
  8. Assures that revenue control procedures are continually followed (POS).
  9. Inspects dining room to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety.
  10. May suggest dining room decorations for special themes.
  11. Assures that pre-opening cleaning tasks are assigned and completed as required.
  12. Manages the guest reservation system; manages a waiting list if necessary.
  13. Assists with service of food and beverages in outlets and for special functions when needed.
  14. Assists with table clearing and re-setting as needed.
  15. Suggests when additional service supplies and small equipment are needed.
  16. Enforces established dining rules, regulations and policies.
  17. Assists in dining room inventory assessments.
  18. Suggestively sells daily specials to all members and guests.
  19. Conducts pre-service employee briefings in the absences of the Dining Manager (line-up meetings).
  20. Assures that local and state laws and the club's policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
  21. Coordinates any special requests including dietary needs with the executive chef.
  22. Completes other appropriate assignments made by the dining room manager.
  23. Additional duties as assigned.
  24. Regular and prompt attendance.


  1. Minimum two (2) years proven experience in hospitality industry.
  1. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
  2. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.
  4. Perform quality work within deadlines.
  5. Interact professionally with other employees, members and guests.
  6. Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)



  1. Must be available for emergency and scheduled work requirements on evenings, weekends or holidays
  2. Must be available to work flexible shifts and overtime if necessary.
  3. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. frequently each day
  4. Must be able to push and pull up to 40 lbs.
  5. Requires long periods of time standing, frequent bending, crouching, kneeling and reaching.
