This is a position of total FUN.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and overseeing the various kid, tween, and teen activities for Vestavia Country Club.  They will create then execute amazing programs, services, and events in collaboration with our other professionals all the while ensuring that we follow our two kid's rules: Be Safe and Have FUN! 


JOB SUMMARY: Design, develop, implement and direct programs and events for members' and guests' children. Works closely with Food and Beverage Director and all department leaders to cultivate synergy in a team-based organization. Incumbents also provide direct service to youth through participation in structurededucational, and recreational programs. 



  • Creates AWESOME programs and services for the children of members throughout the club.   
  • Communicates exciting and new Youth Programs that drives attendance and kid satisfaction, including a yearly calendar. 
  • Develops and Oversees any after school activities at the club. 
  • Prepares weekly activity reports. 
  • Participates in the development of program budget. 
  • Develops multiple and diverse revenue-generating summer camp activities for the children of club members. 
  • Recruit, screen, and trains staff.  Completes payroll timesheets for staff. 
  • Organizes and plans birthday and holiday parties for the members' children. 
  • Coordinates with other departments to promote youth programs including Fitness, Golf, and Tennis. 
  • Oversees the club's Kid's care department. 
  • Attends staff meetings. 
  • Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Clubhouse Manager. 



  • Must be available to work flexible shifts and overtime if necessary. 
  • Must be able to lift, push or up to 30 lbs. 
  • Requires long periods of time standing, frequent bending. 



  • Must have high energy levels, "can-do" attitude, and be very creative 
  • Good human relation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively deal with people at different organizational levels both inside and outside the organization. 
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives. 
  • Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing activities practices. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor degree in Child Development a plus. 
  • First Aid Certification and CPR Certification required
